Artists represented by Next Day Art to Debut at Atlanta Gift Market

December 16, 2008

Portland, ME – Next Day Art, a Portland-based art licensing company, announces that a number of leading gift manufacturers will be debuting new designs licensed through the company at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishing Market. Held in January of 2009, the Atlanta Gift Market is the largest show of its kind and is home to over 2,000 permanent wholesale showrooms and over 5,000 temporary booths.

“We are thrilled that some of the best names in the gift industry have developed product using designs from our artists and that the retailers will have an opportunity to order products for their local stores”, commented James Meserve, president of Next Day Art.

Next Day Art works as an artist agent by helping put the right designs in front of manufacturers at the right time.   “Artists can focus on creating new designs while we handle the marketing, presentation, negotiations and business side of the equation”, explains Meserve.  “It really makes the most sense and helps make life easier for manufacturers of art-based products as they know they can go to us and feel confident that the process will flow smoothly.”

Companies that produce greeting cards, home accents, gifts, wall décor, textiles, collectibles, puzzles, calendars and more count on Next Day Art to source and license art. “Ironically, in a bad economy, good design is more important than ever in gaining the competitive edge.  Great manufacturers know that by keeping their line on trend and sourcing the very best artwork, they will continue to be relevant to retailers and consumers”, continued Meserve.

Recent additions to the Next Day Art portfolio include Frank Baggett, a landscape and wildlife artist from Tennessee and new art by Vermont folk artist Medana Gabbard will be presented to manufacturers in Atlanta for the first time.  Paul and Gina Fletcher, a husband and wife team of artists, each with very distinctive styles have created portfolios that will be a strong and welcomed addition to the scene.  Additionally, Stephanie Toral, an artist that has a rich background in product design and creation, is now available for licensing in most product categories.

Artist portfolios can be viewed on-line or by requesting custom printed portfolios through Next Day Art.  Next Day Art represents more than 80 artists and more than 10,000 works of art.
