Greg Anthon’s more recent work has been variously described as “painterly”, “dreamlike” and with a feeling of “movement through time”.

Although trained as a scientific photographer, he has worked primarily in fine art since the 1970s. In the 80s he became active in New York’s East Village and his large-format time exposures were featured in a number of gallery shows.

Since then his work has also been widely distributed for stock and illustration. His unique style has brought a fine art appeal to commercial assignments such as album covers, advertising and even scientific work.
