Eva Mautner

Eva Mautner was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She grew up in an artistic family. Her father was a virtuoso violinist and member of the San Francisco Symphony for 42 years. Her mother is a published novelist.

Eva's love for the arts began at a young age when she produced her first drawings when she was nineteen. These drawings were humorous line illustrations. They launched her into her first freelance job as staff cartoonist for an international publication for the World Division of the Bank of America in 1981. Since then, she has illustrated books for Random House, Simon and Schuster, Paramount Publishing and has done artwork for Belvedere Winery in Healdsburg, CA, including a wine label for their "Discovery" series. She has also done several lines of greeting cards for Portal Publications in Novata, CA, and her artwork is featured in Michelle Lovric's "Woman to Woman."
